3010177824-2 Apply for this job now Job Description As a Staff Pharmacist at Walmart, you'll deliver safe, accurate, and efficient pharmacy services in a high-volume retail environment. You will verify prescriptions, manage medication dispensing, and provide clear counseling to diverse patients. You'll administer immunizations, conduct medication therapy management, and ensure full compliance with state and federal regulations. Working closely with pharmacy technicians and store leadership, you'll optimize workflow, manage inventory, support clinical and wellness programs, and contribute to Walmart's culture of respect, inclusion, and community-focused care. Responsibilities Accurately verify and dispense prescription medications in a high-volume retail setting Provide patient counseling on prescriptions, OTC products, side effects, and proper medication use Administer immunizations and support clinical services and wellness programs Conduct drug utilization reviews and medication therapy management to optimize patient outcomes Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations, company policies, and controlled substance laws Oversee and mentor pharmacy technicians, supporting efficient workflow and excellent service Manage inventory, including ordering, storage, and handling of pharmaceuticals and vaccines Resolve insurance and third-party billing issues to minimize delays for patients Maintain accurate, timely documentation for prescriptions, immunizations, and audits Collaborate with store and healthcare partners to support community health initiatives and Walmart's service culture Required Skills Prescription dispensing and verification Medication therapy management (MTM) Immunization administration Drug utilization review Retail pharmacy systems (e.g., Connexus, Enterprise Rx or similar) Insurance and third party billing Controlled substance management Inventory and formulary management Patient counseling and education Regulatory and compliance documentation
