Job Description

Category Pharmacy-Director of Pharmacy Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for experienced pharmacy leadership to provide interim Director of Pharmacy coverage at a hospital facility in North Texas. This contract position offers a key leadership role overseeing pharmacy operations within a behavioral health setting for adult patients.

Location:

Greenville, TX Job Type:

Contract (approximately 13 weeks)

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM (plus on-call coverage) Occasional weekends, 6:00 AM to 11:00

AM Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the interim Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) Manage staffing, including scheduling and oversight of pharmacists and technicians Participate in Director of Pharmacy committee work and collaborate with the outgoing DOP for comprehensive transition and training Maintain pharmacy operations ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory standards Oversee inventory management with support from technicians Address staffing challenges to sustain smooth operations

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Licensed Pharmacist in Texas (required) Proven leadership experience as a Director of Pharmacy or Pharmacy Manager Inpatient pharmacy experience; behavioral health background is a strong plus Familiarity with HCS order entry system and Omnicell automation is beneficial but not required Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Facility Details:

54 licensed beds with additional beds planned for 2027 Average daily census ranges from 52 to 54 patients Pharmacy department includes a team of pharmacists and technicians providing operational support This role requires a dedicated professional to step into a stable pharmacy environment, support ongoing operations, and assist in the transition period before a permanent Director of Pharmacy is hired.
