Pharmacist Background :
Cahaba Medical Care Foundation is a community health center organization providing medical, pharmacy, dental, and behavioral health services to diverse underserved communities in Jefferson, Bibb, Perry, Chilton, and Wilcox counties. We are a Level 3 Patient-Centered Medical Home and Joint Commission accredited organization, committed to increasing integration and coordination of behavioral health and primary care. This is an exciting, fast-paced practice with a strong mission and commitment to providing high-quality care. Responsibilities & Duties To accomplish this job, an individual must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, each essential function satisfactorily. Prepare and dispense prescription medications as prescribed by healthcare providers. Count pills, measure liquid medications, label containers, and provide instructions for proper medication use. Serve as a liaison between the public and pharmacists, facilitating consultations and providing medication-related recommendations. Assist in managing inventory and maintaining pharmacy records. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and pharmacy policies. Provide excellent customer service, addressing patient questions and concerns effectively.
Qualifications:
Must meet the requirements for registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy (ALBOP). Degree or certification in pharmacy technology preferred. Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff. High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in medication preparation and dispensing. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
