We're looking for a full-time Pharmacy Technician who is reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to support both our pharmacy team and the patients we serve. Job Summary As a Pharmacy Technician, you'll assist the pharmacist with preparing prescriptions, managing inventory, communicating with patients and providers, and keeping the pharmacy organized and compliant. You'll play an essential role in ensuring a smooth, accurate, and customer-friendly experience. Key Responsibilities Count, pour, label, and reconstitute prescription medications Create accurate prescription labels Enter and retrieve data using pharmacy software Maintain up-to-date patient profiles Request prescription refills from providers Process third-party insurance claims and collect co-pays Provide completed prescriptions to customers Answer phones and direct calls appropriately Assist customers with finding over-the-counter products Unpack, sort, and restock inventory Monitor medication expiration dates and report low stock Keep work areas and equipment clean and organized Record refrigerator and freezer temperatures Process pseudoephedrine sales and Medicare DME claims Comply with HIPAA and all confidentiality regulations Handle customer questions professionally and refer issues to the pharmacist Work collaboratively with the team to maintain efficient operations Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old High school diploma or equivalent Valid Alabama Pharmacy Technician License (or ability to obtain one) Prior cashier or customer service experience preferred Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills Ability to multitask in a busy pharmacy setting Basic computer proficiency Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs Able to bend, reach, climb, and squat frequently Fluent in spoken and written English Reliable, punctual, and team-focused Inventory management experience preferred Why Join Us?
