Job Overview As a Pharmacy Lead Technician, you'll help keep pharmacy operations accurate, safe, and responsive to patient needs. You'll coordinate daily technician workflows, support medication preparation and intake, and help the pharmacy team follow applicable procedures. Your background may include hospital, community, or long-term care (LTC) pharmacy settings; experience in acute care, critical care, or clinical pharmacy is valuable. Duties Coordinate technician tasks and support timely intake, data entry, and prescription processing using pharmacy software. Prepare and compound medications, including sterile intravenous (IV) admixtures, using aseptic technique and established IV infusion procedures. Apply pharmaceutical calculations and medical terminology to support accurate medication workflows and administration. Follow pharmaceutical regulatory compliance requirements, drug regulation, state healthcare regulations, and state and federal pharmacy laws; protect patient confidentiality. Provide patient service and customer service while supporting patient care and communicating relevant information to the pharmacy team.

Qualifications Pharmacy technician experience and knowledge of patient care, medication handling, pharmaceutical calculations, and pharmacy software. Experience in hospital pharmacy, hospital settings, community pharmacy, or LTC pharmacy is relevant; acute care, critical care, and clinical pharmacy experience are valued. Familiarity with IV compounding, sterile IV admixture procedures, aseptic technique, and IV infusion workflows. Understanding of state and federal pharmacy laws, state healthcare regulations, drug regulation, and patient confidentiality. Basic life support (BLS) certification is preferred; familiarity with intake, data entry, medication administration, and pharmacological medical terminology is an asset.

Pay:

$25.38 - $29.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
