Job Summary About Us Hillcrest Pharmacy & Compounding of Elkton was opened in 2017 with a Vision of providing individualized care to the residents of Elkton, and surrounding areas. We are an independent Pharmacy owned and operated by Woman who believes in providing individualized care to our Patients and Communities. We are more than a Retail Pharmacy; we provide compounding, blister pack for long term care facilities and dis-pill services. We also carry large selection of OTC medications and vitamins. Consultation Services provided at no cost to our patients. Curbside pickup option, ATM machine and Public Notary Service are also available. Our Pharmacists and Associates are trained to provide individualized service to our patients. You will always be greeted with a happy face and warmth in our Pharmacy. Certiifed Pharmacy Technician Hillcrest Pharmacy and Compounding of Elkton is seeking a certified pharmacy technician to be part of our team to build relationships with patients by exceeding their needs and providing safe, accurate and efficient care. Job Description Assist Pharmacists to control inventories by keeping products well stocked. May order, receive and check in wholesaler orders and log invoices in inventory log. Keep shelves stocked as shipments arrive (including OTC's). Remove outdated or recalled products, process paperwork for manufacturer returns or medication transfers. Answer telephone and customer questions that do not require a pharmacist, receive refill requests, and assist customers find over-the-counter items. Receive written prescriptions from customers, retrieve and record necessary data and provide price quotes. Use register to check out customers. Enter data and process prescriptions on a computer. Assist pharmacist by retrieving medications. Prepare for pick up by counting or pouring correct products. Bag completed prescriptions. Scans prescription into HIPAA computer and helps customer with electronic signature capture. Assist with weekly paperwork. Prepare manual insurance claims and file written prescription forms. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all company, legal and HIPPA regulations. Perform housekeeping duties to comply with sanitation standards. Make sure the pharmacy is a clean and welcoming environment. Ensure smooth function of pharmacy. May also be asked to carry out specific assignments or projects including delivering prescriptions to patients. Medication delivery within 10 miles radius from location. Job Requirement, Education and Experience Maryland Pharmacy Technician License Valid Driver's License References from previous employers if applicable Knowledge and Skills Good interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with customers in person and on the telephone. Must have good knowledge working with computers and registers. in preferred. Physical Requirements Lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. Operating equipment such as computer, register, etc. Bending, reaching and grasping Standing for long periods, some walking Some tolerance for stress Good verbal and written communication skills Good hearing and eye sight Other Requirements Must always dress professionally ( no cutoff jeans, tank tops, T-shirts, clothing with inappropriate messages) Must wear technician overcoat at all times No cell phone or electronic device usage during work hours. Can use pharmacy phone for emergency purposes only.
