PRN Job Summary Assists a licensed pharmacist with the preparation and distribution of medications in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Supports inventory management, contributes to efficient pharmacy operations, maintains professional competency, and upholds ethical standards and patient confidentiality. Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older. High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license. Current registration with the Mississippi State Board of Pharmacy. Preferred Qualifications College coursework preferred but not required. Prior pharmacy or healthcare experience. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Procure and distribute medication orders per physician or pharmacist request. Maintain adequate medication and supply inventory per policy. Contribute to effective daily pharmacy operations. Participate in departmental quality improvement activities. Maintain required competency for current position. Adapt to frequent interruptions and changing workload demands. Uphold accountability, performance, and organizational standards. Perform at least three principal functional areas including: Front Counter, Omnicell, IV Admixture, Nursing Home/Hospice Pharmacy, Charges/Billing, Employee Pharmacy, or Nightshift. Skills Ability to type at least 30 words per minute. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Moderate computer and data entry proficiency. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to work effectively with patients, providers, and pharmacy staff. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods. Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, and kneeling. Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs independently. Manual dexterity for medication preparation, equipment operation, and computer use. Adequate vision, hearing, and communication ability to safely perform job duties. All candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of this position.
