Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will support pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, ensuring accurate patient care, and maintaining compliance with all pharmaceutical regulations. Your expertise will directly contribute to safe medication management, efficient pharmacy operations, and exceptional patient service. We are medium size pharmacy with a drive thru. Customer service skills are a must. Responsibilities Assist pharmacists in preparing, dispensing, and labeling medications accurately. Manage medication inventory, including ordering, stocking, and verifying stock levels to ensure availability. Enter prescription data into pharmacy software systems with precision while maintaining strict patient confidentiality. Support patient care by providing medication information under pharmacist supervision and answering patient inquiries professionally. Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws, drug regulation standards, and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements. Perform pharmaceutical calculations to verify dosages and compounding procedures meet safety standards. Maintain aseptic techniques and sterile IV infusion procedures during compounding to ensure patient safety. Requirements Proven pharmacy technician experience in LTC (Long-Term Care), hospital, or community pharmacy settings. Critical care or acute care experience highly preferred, with familiarity in hospital pharmacy operations. Knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacological terminology, and drug regulation laws essential for accurate medication management. Proficiency with pharmacy software systems and data entry processes to ensure seamless workflow. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient service and maintaining professional communication standards. Pay:
$12.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 40.0 per week
