Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Certified Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technichian, where your expertise will directly impact patient care and medication safety. In this vital role, you will support pharmacists in preparing, dispensing, and managing medications across various healthcare settings. Experience, while preferred, is not required to excel in this role. Responsibilities Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately, including IV infusions and aseptic techniques for sterile compounding. Manage medication inventory, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and documentation in accordance with hospital or LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacy protocols. Provide exceptional patient service by answering medication-related questions and supporting medication administration processes. Perform medication intake procedures, verifying prescriptions against medical records and ensuring clarity for safe dispensing. Support critical care and acute care teams by delivering timely medication support and maintaining high standards of aseptic technique. Maintain detailed records of medication dispensing, inventory logs, and patient interactions in compliance with regulatory guidelines. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy plans, ensuring safe and effective patient care. Qualifications Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced settings such as critical care or acute care units. Excellent communication skills focused on patient service and interdisciplinary collaboration.
