Mobile Phlebotomist GLabs LLC Concord, CA Job Details Temporary | Part-time | Contract $17.50 - $20.50 an hour 5 hours ago Qualifications Vascular access Vital signs BLS Certification Clinical laboratory experience Data entry Full Job Description Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Mobile Phlebotomist, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality laboratory specimen collection services directly at patients' locations. This energetic position offers the opportunity to provide compassionate patient care while ensuring accurate specimen collection and handling. As a Mobile Phlebotomist, you will travel to various sites, including homes, and clinics to perform blood draws and related procedures with professionalism and precision. Your expertise in laboratory techniques and patient service will help facilitate timely diagnoses and support overall patient health outcomes. Duties Conduct venipuncture and blood sampling procedures using aseptic techniques to collect high-quality specimens. Accurately identify patients, verify orders, and ensure proper labeling of specimens to maintain integrity throughout the process. Obtain vital signs and assess patient physiology to ensure safety during specimen collection, especially in geriatrics and pediatrics populations. Handle specimens carefully, following laboratory procedures for processing, storage, and transportation to ensure specimen integrity. Maintain detailed documentation within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR), including data entry of patient information and collection details. Provide exceptional patient care by explaining procedures clearly, addressing concerns, and ensuring comfort during blood draws. Adhere to infection control protocols such as aseptic technique and proper specimen handling to prevent contamination or errors. Lift heavy equipment or supplies as needed while maintaining safety standards during mobile visits. Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and team members regarding specimen status or patient issues. Experience No prior experience is required but medical laboratory work, phlebotomy is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory procedures, techniques, and specimen collection methods including venipuncture and blood sampling. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is highly preferred. Ability to lift heavy loads safely while maintaining proper body mechanics during mobile visits. Strong customer service skills combined with a professional attitude to provide compassionate patient interactions in various settings.
