3+ months Contract with possible extension

Hours:

40 hours/week

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM; Saturday, 7:30 AM-12:30 PM

CPT License Position Overview:

The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the primary point of contact for patients visiting the facility and is responsible for collecting high-quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing. The position requires accurate and safe phlebotomy practices, professional patient interaction, attention to confidentiality, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform blood specimen collection accurately and safely following established practices and procedures.

Prepare collected specimens for laboratory testing.

Provide professional and reassuring patient interaction during the collection process.

Perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing according to established procedures.

Maintain required records and documentation.

Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.

Maintain a safe and professional work environment.

Protect patient information and maintain confidentiality.

Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image with patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

Work independently with minimal on-site supervision.

Perform pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy.

Maintain flexible availability based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call assignments, and overtime when required.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

  • Required
    Minimum 6 months of experience
  • Required
    1+ year of phlebotomy experience
  • Preferred
    Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
    Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    Keyboard/data-entry experience
  • Required.
    Customer service experience in a retail or service environment
  • Preferred.
