This energetic position combines the essential skills of specimen collection with friendly patient interaction and efficient front desk management. You will be the first point of contact for patients, providing a welcoming environment while accurately performing laboratory procedures and maintaining meticulous records. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, supportive setting dedicated to health and wellness. Responsibilities (Daytime Shift (9:30-2:00 PM) Collect blood samples using venipuncture and capillary techniques, ensuring proper specimen handling and aseptic technique. Verify patient identities and accurately document vital signs, medical history, and other relevant information. Prepare specimens for laboratory testing, label samples correctly, and process them according to established protocols. Greet patients warmly upon arrival, assist with check-in procedures, and answer questions related to appointments or laboratory services. Maintain a clean, organized reception area while managing patient flow efficiently through data entry into Quest Laboratories systems. Support laboratory staff by following detailed laboratory procedures and ensuring specimen integrity throughout the collection process. Adhere to safety standards including basic life support (BLS) and CPR protocols, especially when assisting vulnerable populations such as pediatrics and geriatrics. Requirements (Employer will train qualified candidate to clinic measures) Must be 21 years old or older. Must be able to speak Spanish Proven experience in laboratory procedures, phlebotomy, or clinical laboratory work with knowledge of venipuncture and blood sampling techniques. Familiarity with Quest Laboratories systems for accurate data entry and record keeping. ( Employer will train to system) Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately across diverse populations including pediatrics and geriatrics. Ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and maintaining aseptic technique during specimen collection. Certification in phlebotomy is required ; CPR/BLS certification is highly desirable but not required. Previous hospital or healthcare facility experience is advantageous but not mandatory ; training will be provided for qualified candidates eager to learn.
