Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Mobile Phlebotomist, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality laboratory specimen collection services directly to patients in various settings. This energetic position offers the opportunity to provide compassionate patient care while ensuring accurate and efficient specimen handling. As a Mobile Phlebotomist, you will be the friendly face of our laboratory services, bringing expertise and enthusiasm to every interaction, all while maintaining strict adherence to clinical confidentiality and safety standards. Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection using aseptic techniques across diverse patient populations, including pediatrics and hospital inpatients. Manage biological samples with precision, ensuring proper labeling, processing, and transportation in accordance with CLIA regulations and laboratory procedures. Maintain detailed documentation of specimen collection, processing steps, and patient information within laboratory information systems (LIS). Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with patients, addressing their concerns, and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times. Adhere strictly to clinical confidentiality policies and ensure patient privacy during all interactions. Support laboratory management by assisting with specimen inventory control, data entry accuracy, and maintaining compliance with laboratory safety protocols. Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals in hospital or clinic settings to facilitate smooth specimen collection workflows and ensure timely results delivery. Requirements Proven experience in medical laboratory work, including phlebotomy and specimen collection/processing. Knowledge of laboratory techniques such as venipuncture, spinal tap procedures, and catheterization. Familiarity with CLIA regulations, laboratory procedures, and biological sample management standards. Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and clinical confidentiality policies. Certification or training in basic life support (BLS) is preferred. Experience working within hospital environments or research laboratories is highly advantageous. Excellent client communication skills coupled with the ability to maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Ability to manage data entry accurately within Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and handle biological samples efficiently.
