Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Phlebotomy Technician to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will perform blood collection procedures with precision and care, ensuring patient comfort and safety while maintaining the highest standards of laboratory practice. Your expertise will support accurate diagnosis and treatment by collecting high-quality specimens in a fast-paced clinical environment. Responsibilities Collect blood samples from patients using venipuncture, capillary puncture, and other specimen collection techniques while adhering to aseptic methods. Ensure proper labeling, handling, and processing of specimens to maintain integrity and prevent contamination. Assist patients with specimen collection, providing compassionate care and clear instructions to ensure comfort and cooperation. Record accurate patient information, vital signs, and relevant data into electronic health records (EHR/EMR) systems with meticulous attention to detail. Follow laboratory protocols for specimen processing, storage, and transportation to ensure compliance with safety standards. Maintain a clean and organized work environment by following infection control practices and safety procedures. Support laboratory staff by performing basic laboratory techniques, preparing specimens for testing, and assisting with other clinical tasks as needed. Skills Proficiency in laboratory procedures, techniques, and specimen collection methods including venipuncture and blood sampling. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and clinical laboratory practices. Experience working in hospital or healthcare settings with familiarity in EMR/EHR systems and data entry. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to care for diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatrics. Ability to perform venipuncture confidently while maintaining aseptic technique and adhering to safety standards such as Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certifications. Physical stamina for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and performing vital signs accurately. Knowledge of laboratory techniques related to specimen handling, blood sampling procedures, and phlebotomy specimen processing. Strong communication skills combined with a customer service-oriented approach to ensure positive patient interactions. Pay:
