Job Description
The purpose of this position is to provide clerical support, health services at the agency, and medical office assisting/lab duties to a wide variety of programs across the eight-county district. The employee will provide assistance as directed by physicians, mid-level providers, nurses, and lab staff to perform a variety of clerical, lab, and nursing clinical tasks in recording and maintaining patient data and providing information to individuals and families who are recipients of local health services. Work is performed under the guidance and supervision of professional health personnel and evaluated constantly for satisfactory completion. The employee will assist with clerical, lab, and clinical coverage across the eight-county district as needed. This position will be based in Pasquotank County but will be expected to travel to all counties in the agency.
