First Shift:

6am-6pm (hours may vary) Floating position

•must be able to float to all locations

•King, Winston-Salem, Thomasville, Kernsville and Lexington (Mileage paid) Must have a reliable vehicle and valid drivers license 2 years of pediatrics and geriatrics experience and skilled in hard sticks.

Position Responsibilities:

Phlebotomist technician with experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc. Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures. Properly explains in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection (ex. urine or fecal) as required. Demonstrate techniques using straight needles and/or butterfly needles. Fully understand all of the physicians' orders. Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes. Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

2 years of pediatrics and geriatrics blood draw experience Specimen processing Ability to float within Winston-Salem and Kernersville (Mileage paid) High School Diploma or GED Must pass a color vision test Apply for immediate consideration.
