We are currently in search of a Certified Phlebotomists who likes to connect with people and has a compassionate outlook for our Huber Heights location. PMG The Heights, like all Providence Medical Group primary care practices, is recognized as Patient-Centered Medical Home and focus on building lasting patient relationships based on trust and continuity of care. What you will do Ensure venipuncture and capillary punctures align with PSC policy with high accuracy Gather specimens across all age groups, proficient in urine drug screen collection Complete requisitions accurately, adhering to policy Properly handle patient identification and specimen processing Label and prepare specimens correctly for testing Verify billing information for accuracy Skilled in collecting PCR nasopharyngeal swabs and performing POCT testing Retrieve, process, and store specimens as per protocol Maintain appropriate specimen storage temperatures and prepare batches for transport Manage order and specimen flow Assist in troubleshooting patient draw, order, and specimen issues Operate and maintain departmental equipment, ensuring functionality Communicate effectively and courteously, prioritizing customer service Conduct regular inventory checks and replenish supplies as needed Adhere to regulatory requirements, corporate standards, and departmental policies Perform other job duties as requested
Qualifications:
Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Must have recent phlebotomy training or experience, with at least 100 venipunctures completed. Certification required Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Safety & Physical demands: Must be able to stand most of the shift Exposure to biohazard substances and hazardous chemicals Adherence to safety, ergonomic, and health policies Compliance with PPE requirements in lab or biohazard areas Completion of required safety training and health evaluations promptly Proactive approach to identifying and addressing safety hazards, promoting safety awareness
