Job Description
Purpose:
Collects and processes blood and other laboratory samples; enters physician orders in Meditech accurately; accurately labels and processes specimens; maintains confidentiality for patient data; and displays a professional image and attitude when performing ALL duties/responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Collects and processes laboratory specimens. Performs Patient Assessment. Maintains and practices professionalism. Assist in training new or current employees & students as requested under the direction of supervisor/administrative staff. Informs section supervisor of problems noted in an individual's training process.
•Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.
•Performs other duties as assigned.
