Work Environment Our Sanford facility offers an onsite work setting that promotes collaboration and communication among our healthcare professionals. As a crucial part of our rehabilitation team, you will engage directly with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement individualized treatment plans. The atmosphere is dynamic and supportive, emphasizing a commitment to clinical excellence and professional development. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive evaluation and treatment programs for patients referred by physicians, ensuring alignment with each patient's unique needs. Utilize your expertise to treat patients across various specialties, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine issues. Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and contribute positively to the overall effectiveness of the clinic. Collaborate with a broader healthcare team to maximize patient outcomes and facilitate continuous improvement. Provide therapeutic care at patients' homes when necessary, following the prescribed plan of care to effect significant changes in their condition and functionality. Educate and train patients and their caregivers about treatment protocols and ongoing therapy to foster independence. Achieve minimum utilization goals and other business objectives while ensuring superior care delivery. Patient Population / Client Focus In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population, including but not limited to individuals recovering from surgery, athletes in need of rehabilitation, children with developmental delays, and patients with chronic conditions requiring ongoing therapy. You will play a vital role in helping these individuals regain their strength and mobility, significantly impacting their quality of life. Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-accredited program. Current state license to practice physical therapy in Florida. Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association. Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with proficiency in word processing and other relevant computer skills. A commitment to building effective relationships with each patient and their families to help them achieve functional goals. A proactive attitude toward connecting positively with people and establishing a great rapport with fellow professionals. Preferred Experience A minimum of 2 years of relevant physical therapy experience, demonstrating expertise in treating varied patient demographics and conditions. Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) and familiarity with therapy documentation software are advantageous.
