Key Qualifications:
Masters degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist (or eligibility to obtain) Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably within schools Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams Ability to adapt therapy plans to meet individual student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for students requiring physical therapy intervention Provide direct therapy services to support students mobility, participation, and access to educational activities Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate physical therapy strategies into classrooms Document progress, maintain thorough records, and develop progress reports in compliance with school and district policies Participate in IEP meetings and consult with families and educators to achieve each student's therapy goals Educate students, staff, and families about safe mobility, adaptive equipment, and injury prevention
