Central Michigan Rehabilitation Central Michigan Rehabilitation is an outpatient rehabilitation clinic dedicated to providing comprehensive orthopedic and manual therapy services to clients of all ages, from infants to seniors. Our focus is on delivering personalized care to help clients recover from sports injuries, chronic pain, and neurological conditions such as stroke and arthritis, with the goal of restoring function and improving quality of life. Physical Therapist/Assistant We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in physiotherapy principles, with experience in inpatient, outpatient, and home health settings. This role involves developing individualized care plans, delivering hands-on therapy, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology, and a passion for improving patient mobility and well-being. Physical Therapist Job Duties Assess patients' physical conditions through detailed evaluations, including understanding medical history and conducting functional tests. Develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs, including discharge planning when appropriate. Administer therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy, trigger point therapy, and exercises to improve mobility, strength, and function. Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust care plans accordingly to ensure optimal recovery outcomes. Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, home exercise programs, and community resources for ongoing support. Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic medical records (EMR) systems while maintaining confidentiality. Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic patient care. Physical therapy Skills needed Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy practice. Proven experience in discharge planning for diverse patient populations across inpatient, outpatient, and home health environments. Expertise in managing care for pediatrics, geriatrics, orthopedics, sports medicine, neurology (stroke rehab), and musculoskeletal injuries. Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and treatment tracking. Ability to perform advanced techniques such as trigger point therapy and orthopedic manual therapy. Excellent patient care skills with compassionate communication tailored to individual needs. Knowledge of home & community care practices to support patients outside clinical settings. Pay:
$35.00 - $50.00 per hour
