Know Your Team:
Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.
Responsibilities:
Physical therapists provide services that help restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities of patients suffering from injuries or disease. They restore, maintain, and promote overall fitness and health. Their patients include anyone who suffers from a physical limitation. Therapists examine patients' medical histories and then test and measure the patients' strength, range of motion, balance and coordination, posture, muscle performance, respiration, and motor function. They develop appropriate treatment plans to help patients achieve their goals.
Qualifications:
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree. 1 year's experience required (this requirement will be waived with a strong recommendation from an acute care or outpatient clinical affiliation). Current valid NJ State Physical Therapy license. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Preferred Job Requirements:
Master's degree or PhD in Physical Therapy. 2 years' experience. Experience with electronic health records. Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
