Duties Assess patients' physical conditions by conducting thorough evaluations of mobility, strength, and functional abilities using advanced physiology knowledge and medical terminology. Develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual needs, including orthopedic, neurological, pediatric, and geriatric cases. Implement therapeutic interventions such as trigger point therapy, patient rehabilitation exercises, and mobility training to promote recovery and independence. Manage clinical documentation standards by accurately recording patient progress, treatment details, discharge planning notes, and adhering to electronic health records (EHR) management protocols. Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans and optimize patient outcomes. Conduct discharge planning to ensure seamless transition from hospital or clinic to home or community settings with appropriate follow-up care instructions. Engage with patients and their families through clear communication about treatment goals, progress updates, and education on physiotherapy techniques for ongoing self-care. Skills Proven experience practicing in a physical therapy role within inpatient hospital settings or outpatient clinics. Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology principles relevant to orthopedics, neurology, pediatrics, geriatrics, and home health care environments. Familiarity with outpatient rehabilitation center operations and outpatient experience to deliver effective therapy sessions. Expertise in medical terminology and clinical documentation standards necessary for accurate record keeping. Ability to develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and clinical observations. Skilled in discharge planning processes for diverse patient populations across acute care and community settings. Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) systems or EMR systems for efficient documentation and data management. Excellent client communication skills to foster trust and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey. Experience working with geriatric patients or pediatric populations to address unique developmental or age-related needs. Knowledge of physiotherapy techniques including trigger point therapy and other modalities aimed at pain relief and functional improvement.
