Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Discover a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students' success and growth in a dynamic educational setting. This position is designed for a Physical Therapist seeking part-time hours and an impactful, student-centered caseload close to Tijeras, NM. As a talented PT, you will work approximately 5 hours each week, promoting physical development and access to education. The focus will be with a small caseload: conducting an evaluation for one student needing PT assessments, and providing direct physical therapy services to two students (totaling 60 minutes weekly). This allows you to deliver quality care, track progress closely, and collaborate effectively with educational staff and families.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Experience with school-aged children or in educational settings preferred Strong analytical skills for conducting evaluations and developing individualized plans Effective communication skills for collaboration with teachers, staff, and families Ability to manage a modest caseload independently and adapt to the needs of diverse students
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough physical therapy evaluation for one student, including report and recommendations Deliver direct PT services to two students (60 minutes total weekly) as part of their individualized educational programs Document student progress regularly and align therapy goals with academic outcomes Attend IEP meetings, as needed, providing insight into PT needs and supportive strategies Educate and consult with school staff regarding accommodations, adaptive equipment, and safe mobility This part-time contract is ideal if you seek meaningful, focused work within a flexible weekly schedule.
