Job Description

Physical Therapist (PT) ABC Niños Special Needs Program - Queens, NY Full-Time / Part-Time •
School Year Schedule About Us:
ABC Niños Special Needs Program is a New York State-approved 4410 program located in Queens, NY, serving preschool-aged children (2-5 years old) with developmental delays and disabilities. Our team is committed to providing inclusive, high-quality early intervention services in a nurturing and supportive learning environment.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a caring and skilled Physical Therapist (PT) to join our multidisciplinary team. The PT will support children's gross motor development and functional mobility needs as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). This role involves direct therapy services, collaboration with classroom staff, and engagement with families to promote physical development both at school and at home.
Responsibilities:
Conduct gross motor and physical therapy evaluations in compliance with NYSED and NYC DOE standards. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals focused on strength, coordination, balance, posture, and mobility. Provide direct therapy services (individual and group) to students ages 2-5 in classroom and therapy settings. Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to support motor skill development in natural environments. Maintain timely and accurate documentation, including session notes, progress reports, and evaluation summaries. Attend CPSE meetings, interdisciplinary team meetings, and family conferences as needed. Provide parent coaching and suggestions to reinforce physical therapy goals at home.
Qualifications:
Master's or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program (required) Current New York State License to practice as a Physical Therapist (required) Pediatric or early childhood experience preferred (especially in a school or special education setting) Knowledge of
NYS 4410
program requirements is a plus Bilingual (Spanish-English) is a plus
Skills:
