Work Environment You will be working in a state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility located in Gainesville, Virginia. This vibrant work setting promotes collaboration among a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians and rehabilitation specialists. The facility is designed to enhance patient recovery and comfort, featuring the latest therapeutic equipment and technology to support evidence-based practices in physical therapy. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical abilities and limitations, including a thorough review of medical history and performance assessments, to develop individualized treatment plans. Communicate evaluation findings effectively to patients and their families, ensuring their involvement in setting achievable goals tailored to their rehabilitation journey. Implement evidence-based treatment protocols emphasizing orthopedic rehabilitation, demonstrating proficiency in various therapeutic modalities, exercise regimens, and patient education. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care, recognizing and documenting any changes in the patient's condition that may necessitate adjustments to the treatment plan. Complete discharge planning and follow-up care, ensuring accurate documentation of all patient interactions, including progress notes and discharge summaries that highlight the course of care. Manage time effectively to meet patient productivity expectations while maintaining a flexible schedule that accommodates team meetings and patient needs. Contribute to departmental goals by participating in quality improvement initiatives and engaging in community outreach programs to promote access to care. Advance your professional competencies through continuing education, mentoring, or serving as a clinical instructor for students pursuing physical therapy degrees. Foster an environment of exceptional customer service to enhance patient experience, addressing barriers to access and engaging with initiatives aimed at improving overall care delivery. Patient Population / Client Focus Our facility primarily serves individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. You will work closely with a diverse demographic, from young athletes seeking to return to their sports to older adults rehabilitating after joint replacements or fractures. Your expertise will be critical in tailoring rehabilitation approaches that cater to each patient's unique needs and recovery goals. Qualifications A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution. Current state licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapist (DPT) by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee. A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience in a physical therapy setting, particularly focused on orthopedic cases. A valid CPR certification. Preferred Experience While two years of experience is required, we encourage applicants with more extensive backgrounds in orthopedic rehabilitation or specialized training in manual therapy techniques, sports medicine, or post-surgical recovery to apply. Additional certifications in advanced therapeutic modalities will be a distinct advantage. Compensation and Benefits In addition to a competitive salary ranging from
