Work Environment This position is primarily onsite in residential settings, where you will engage with clients in their homes, providing therapy tailored to their unique needs. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, offering a balanced work-life structure. Unlike typical high-volume clinics, our focus is on quality care over quantity, allowing you to invest time with each patient and develop a meaningful therapeutic relationship. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough evaluations of patients with musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions to assess their needs and establish a baseline for treatment. Develop and implement individualized care plans that accommodate each patient's goals and functional capabilities. Utilize diverse therapeutic techniques, such as manual therapy and therapeutic exercises, as well as advanced modalities, including dry needling and cupping, based on your certifications. Instruct patients on methods for injury prevention, postural correction, and principles of long-term wellness to enhance their recovery outside of therapy sessions. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including orthopedic surgeons, chiropractors, and athletic trainers, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care. Maintain accurate and efficient documentation using our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, adhering strictly to state and federal guidelines. Patient Population / Client Focus You will be working primarily with adult patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Each patient presents unique challenges and goals, enabling you to apply your expertise and creativity in crafting effective treatment plans. Your ability to provide compassionate support and encouragement will be crucial in helping these individuals regain mobility and confidence. Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required. A current Physical Therapy license in Virginia, or eligibility to obtain one, is mandatory. A minimum of two years of experience in outpatient orthopedics is highly desired, though strong new graduates with relevant clinical training are encouraged to apply. Proven skills in communication, clinical reasoning, and motivating patients are essential for this role. Preferred Experience Experience in manual therapy techniques and certifications related to orthopedic specialties are preferred. Advanced training in areas such as dry needling, vestibular rehabilitation, or sports performance will be considered a valuable asset. A demonstrated interest in ongoing professional development and continuing education is encouraged.
