Physical Therapy Aide New York Medical & Diagnostic Center Location:
Kew Gardens, Queens, NY Position:

Full-Time / Part-Time Physical Therapy Aide About the Position New York Medical & Diagnostic Center is seeking a dependable, energetic, and highly motivated Physical Therapy Aide to join our team. Our practice operates in an extremely fast-paced medical environment , so we are looking for someone who can move quickly, stay organized, multitask, and maintain excellent patient service throughout a busy workday. The Physical Therapy Aide will work closely with our physical therapy team to assist with patient flow, prepare treatment areas, support patients during therapy sessions, and help keep the department organized and running efficiently. •2:00 PM Availability during these operating hours is required. Actual scheduled hours may vary depending on the needs of the practice. Candidates must have scheduling flexibility and be able to accommodate the needs of a busy medical office. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms and therapy areas before and after each patient. Assist physical therapists and other clinical staff with patient flow. Escort and position patients for treatment as directed by the physical therapist. Assist patients with therapist-directed exercises and activities within the appropriate scope of the PT Aide role. Set up and clean therapy equipment. Clean and disinfect treatment tables and equipment between patients. Keep therapy areas clean, organized, and fully stocked. Help ensure patients are seen efficiently and on schedule. Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients. Assist with administrative and clerical duties as needed. Complete paperwork, scanning, filing, and other office tasks during downtime . Assist other departments when necessary. Perform additional duties assigned by management. Qualifications Prior experience as a Physical Therapy Aide, Rehabilitation Aide, Medical Assistant, or in a healthcare setting is preferred. Strong communication and customer-service skills. Ability to work efficiently in an extremely fast-paced environment. Excellent multitasking and organizational skills. Dependable, punctual, and professional. Comfortable working directly with patients. Able to follow instructions carefully and work as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Basic computer and office skills. Must be comfortable performing both patient-care support and administrative duties. Must have the flexibility to work within the required hours of operation. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to assist with setting up equipment and treatment areas. Ability to perform repetitive tasks associated with cleaning, organizing, and preparing therapy stations. Ability to remain active throughout a busy shift. We are looking for someone who takes initiative rather than waiting to be told what to do and who is willing to assist with paperwork, scanning, filing, and other office responsibilities during downtime. This is a fast-paced, high-volume medical environment. Candidates should be comfortable staying productive throughout the workday and helping wherever needed.
