Conduct clinical assessments and document patient progress accurately in accordance with clinical documentation standards and medical terminology. Operate and maintain medical equipment used during therapy sessions, ensuring safety and proper functionality. Apply manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and physiotherapy modalities to facilitate pain relief and mobility improvements. Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals—including physicians, nurses, and caregivers—to coordinate patient care and discharge planning. Manage electronic health records (EHR) efficiently to ensure timely and precise medical documentation, including treatment notes and progress reports. Educate patients and their families about care plans, exercise routines, and post-discharge instructions to promote ongoing recovery at home or in outpatient settings. Qualifications Valid certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant with current licensure or registration required by state law. Demonstrated experience working in skilled nursing facilities (SNF), inpatient units, outpatient clinics, or home health environments. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practice. Proficiency in clinical assessment documentation, medical documentation standards, and electronic health records (EHR) management. Skilled in manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and physiotherapy modalities to optimize patient outcomes. Ability to operate medical equipment safely and effectively during treatment sessions. Excellent communication skills for engaging with patients, families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive care delivery.
