Whether you're a new graduate or a tenured therapist the current job market is challenging and ever-changing. Unlike other offices, we strive to spend time with our patients, spending one-on-one time with each patient. A large part of this position, regardless of skill level, will be the ability to problem solve, think beyond normal physical therapy constrictions and be a teacher and advocate for our patients, early intervention, injury prevention, etc.
Responsibilities:
Working under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, administers specific physical therapy treatments as assigned and designed by the physical therapist through the use of various therapeutic techniques and applications. The PTA provides documentation of treatments and outcomes; discharge planning and patient/family/caregiver education; participates in administrative duties and performance improvement; pursues professional growth. You will complete daily patient care notes, and other required forms as requested by treating physicians, rehab nurses or insurance companies, case managers and physician referrals. The PTA will interpret appropriate information needed to identify patient requirements relative to the patient specific needs. A desire to learn manual skills. We are a manual-based office and treat based on the physical limitations of our patients including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities.
Qualifications:
Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant CPR Certification Excellent patient care and communication skills with the ability to multitask while providing an exceptional experience for anyone that enters the clinic Ability to understand and follow the directions of the Physical Therapist and the policies and procedures of the facility
