Implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, functional mobility interventions, and other skilled treatment techniques Assist patients in improving strength, mobility, coordination, and overall functional independence Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety techniques, and mobility strategies Monitor patient progress and communicate changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist Collaborate with Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient treatments and progress within the electronic medical record Participate in discharge planning and provide recommendations for continued therapy services and equipment needs Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and rehabilitation program development Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor
Skills:
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and rehabilitation principles Proficiency in therapeutic exercise techniques, functional mobility training, and rehabilitation interventions Experience in acute care, outpatient, skilled nursing, or rural healthcare settings is preferred but not required Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team Strong problem-solving, organization, and critical-thinking skills Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care

Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program Valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the State of Georgia or license eligibility CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) Continuing education to maintain licensure and stay current with advancements in the field Strong commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered rehabilitation services
