$40.00 / hour About the Role Alhambra Rehab and Healthcare Center is seeking a flexible, compassionate, and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our therapy team on a PRN (as-needed) basis. In this role, you will work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver high-quality, individualized rehabilitation care to our residents, helping them regain mobility, independence, and an improved quality of life. Key Responsibilities Execute physical therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist. Guide and assist patients through targeted exercises, gait training, mobility activities, and physical modalities. Track, document, and report patient progress, responses, and functional improvements accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) system. Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive treatment environment adhering to infection control protocols. Collaborate closely with physical therapists, nursing staff, occupational therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate optimal patient care. Educate patients and their families on safety protocols, home exercise programs, and adaptive techniques.
Qualifications Education:
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program (Associate degree).
Licensure:
Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in good standing in the state of practice.
Certifications:
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification.
Experience:
Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF), long-term care, or inpatient rehab setting preferred, but strong new graduates are welcome to apply.
