Job Description

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)Position SummaryWe are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide rehabilitation services under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist. The PTA will implement treatment plans, assist patients with therapeutic activities, monitor progress, and support safe functional recovery.

Responsibilities Provide therapeutic exercises and activities according to the PT's treatment plan. Assist patients with mobility, transfers, balance, and functional activities. Perform therapeutic techniques and modalities within scope of practice. Monitor patient response to treatment and report changes to the supervising PT. Educate patients on prescribed exercises, mobility, and safety techniques. Assist with the use of therapeutic and mobility equipment. Maintain accurate and timely treatment documentation. Support patients in achieving functional and rehabilitation goals. Communicate with the PT and other healthcare professionals regarding patient progress. Follow patient safety, infection control, and professional standards. Qualifications Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Current PTA license in the applicable state. Previous physical therapy or rehabilitation experience preferred. Strong communication, organization, and patient-care skills. Knowledge of therapeutic exercises, mobility techniques, and rehabilitation practices. Ability to work effectively under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
