In this vital role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to deliver high-quality rehabilitative care to diverse patient populations. Your expertise will help patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve their overall quality of life through tailored therapy interventions. Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing personalized treatment plans for patients across inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing, home health, and clinic settings. Perform therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques—including trigger point therapy—and modalities to promote healing and mobility. Operate and maintain medical equipment used in physical therapy treatments, ensuring safety and proper functionality. Document clinical assessments, treatment progress, and discharge planning accurately following clinical documentation standards and medical terminology guidelines. Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals such as physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists to optimize patient care outcomes. Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, care plans, and injury prevention strategies to support ongoing recovery outside of therapy sessions. Manage electronic health records (EHR), ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and maintaining detailed medical documentation for each patient encounter. Requirements Valid licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant in accordance with state or national licensing boards. Proven experience working in pediatric facilities, outpatient clinics, or home health environments. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy. Skilled in manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and other physiotherapy modalities. Familiarity with clinical assessment documentation standards and medical documentation practices. Ability to operate medical equipment safely and efficiently within a clinical setting. Excellent communication skills for effective caregiver and client interaction across diverse populations. Experience with discharge planning processes and acute care environments preferred. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans. Pay:
$24.00 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
