Full Job Description Overview:
Serves as Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) at the Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Performs a wide range of complex PTA duties requiring an advanced practical knowledge of physical therapy, evidence-based medicine and data collection to perform specific aspects of evaluations and interventions. Civilian Physical Therapy Assistant Relocation and Recruitment incentives MAY be authorized.

Responsibilities:
Duties Recommend various modalities of physical therapy, as prescribed, to include diathermy, hydrotherapy, massage, electrotherapy, ultrasound and therapeutic exercise. Ensure treatment plan is designed to maximize results in promotion of healing and pain relief while ultimately improving the patient's functional independence. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to make recommendations for the patient's rehabilitation and reintegration needs. Attend pertinent meetings as requested by the supervisory therapist and/or clinic director. Maintain treatment areas, administrative area, and personal spaces in a safe, orderly manner. Perform administrative duties as required, including but not limited to checking in patients, scheduling, and template management. Assist supervisor in making decisions relative to administrative responsibilities in the areas of supply, equipment and personnel.

Qualification Requirements:
One year of specialized experience which includes implementing physical therapy treatment plans, instructing on physical therapy programs, or providing status reports A current, active, valid, and unrestricted license or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant from a state, the District of Columbia, or a territory of the United States is required.
