Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, ensuring a positive and professional first impression upon arrival. Manage patient check-in and check-out processes using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks. Schedule appointments accurately, coordinate follow-up visits, and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently. Collect and verify insurance information, process payments, and handle medical billing using knowledge of health insurance policies including Medicare and HIPAA compliance. Maintain meticulous medical records by reviewing documentation for accuracy and completeness in accordance with clinical confidentiality policies. Answer multi-line phone systems with professionalism, providing clear communication and appointment reminders while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. Hooking patient up and taking them off of therapy. Support clinical staff by preparing treatment rooms, managing supplies, and assisting with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and document review. Uphold HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards to protect patient information at all times. Demonstrate proficiency with computer skills necessary for managing Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office applications. Assist with medical coding tasks including CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, ensuring accurate documentation for billing purposes. Provide bilingual support to enhance communication with diverse patient populations when applicable. Qualifications Prior experience in a medical office environment or clinical setting is highly preferred, especially within chiropractic clinics. Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Chirotouch, Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks is essential. Familiarity with medical billing procedures, insurance claims processing, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), and Medicare guidelines is required. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person while maintaining professionalism. Proven clerical experience including filing, data entry (10 key typing), appointment scheduling, and office management tasks. Ability to handle sensitive health information confidentially following HIPAA regulations. Bilingual abilities are considered a strong asset to better serve diverse patient populations. Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health record management software. Chiropractic clinic experience is a plus but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning new skills is essential.
