Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality patient care in the pediatric outpatient setting. Your expertise in physiotherapy techniques and patient management will be essential in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals. Responsibilities Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for pediatric patients with diverse needs. Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist. Educate patients and their families about exercises and care plans to promote recovery and prevent further injury. Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments, progress notes, and discharge planning. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Uphold medical terminology standards while communicating effectively with healthcare professionals. Requirements Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology is essential for effective patient care. Experience in outpatient pediatrics is preferred. Familiarity with discharge planning processes to facilitate smooth transitions for patients. Previous experience in home health settings is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients and their families. Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team environment.
