Job Description

Chiropractic Rehab and Exercise Assistant Float Position Summary The Chiropractic Rehab and Exercise Assistant Float assists the chiropractor and clinical team with patient care, rehabilitation exercises, therapeutic modalities, and clinic flow. This position supports patients receiving care for post-surgical mobility and strengthening, acute and chronic conditions, sports and conditioning needs, and work or accident injury recovery. The ideal candidate is compassionate, dependable, detail-oriented, and interested in exercise, conditioning, sports rehabilitation, exercise science, physical training, physical therapy, or chiropractic care. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the chiropractor with patient care and treatment, with a focus on rehabilitation exercises, post-surgical mobility and strengthening, acute and chronic care patients, and work or accident injury recovery.
  • Greet patients and escort them to the appropriate treatment or rehabilitation area.
  • Learn, demonstrate, and assist patients with exercises prescribed by the chiropractor.
  • Support patients with therapeutic exercises, stretching, strengthening, conditioning, mobility work, and sports rehabilitation activities as directed.
  • Assist with therapeutic modalities, which may include ultrasound, paraffin wax, electrical stimulation, and related treatments.
  • Monitor patient technique, provide encouragement, and help maintain patient safety during exercises and treatment activities.
  • Keep accurate records of patient treatment, exercise participation, and relevant observations using the office's electronic health record system.
  • Prepare, clean, and organize treatment rooms, rehabilitation areas, equipment, and supplies.
  • Support clinic flow by helping with room turnover, communicating patient readiness, and collaborating with the chiropractor and other staff members.
  • Float between assigned areas, roles, or locations as needed to support staffing needs and maintain consistent patient care.
  • Provide excellent customer service and compassionate care in a professional, welcoming environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the employer. Qualifications
  • Familiarity with anatomy is helpful but not required.
  • Interest or experience in working out, conditioning, sports rehabilitation, exercise science, physical training, physical therapy, or related areas is a plus.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to provide compassionate care to patients.
  • Strong attention to detail when documenting patient information and treatment accurately.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with the chiropractor and other staff members.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record systems preferred.
  • All aspects of the job will be trained in the office; experience is helpful but not necessary. Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the clinic for extended periods.
  • Ability to assist patients with exercises and safely demonstrate movements as directed.
  • Ability to lift, carry, move, or set up light to moderate exercise equipment and supplies.
  • Ability to maintain focus and professionalism in a busy clinical environment.
Schedule and Float Expectations Hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with 1/2 hour off for lunch. Friday hours are 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This schedule provides long weekends. This float position may require coverage in different areas of the practice or assigned locations based on patient volume, staffing needs, and provider schedules. Candidate must be willing to travel to the Solon office if needed. Flexibility, punctuality, and dependable attendance are essential. Job Type Full-time or part-time opportunities may be available.
