Job Summary Join our dedicated healthcare team as a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) at our esteemed skilled nursing facility. In this vital role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to deliver exceptional patient care, implement personalized treatment plans, and promote recovery and mobility for diverse patient populations. Your expertise will help improve quality of life for residents through compassionate therapy services, utilizing your knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and clinical assessment standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in inpatient, outpatient, geriatrics, pediatrics, and rehabilitation settings. Responsibilities Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Implement physical therapy treatments including manual therapy, trigger point therapy, and therapeutic exercises to enhance mobility and reduce pain. Conduct clinical assessments and document patient progress accurately in accordance with clinical documentation standards and medical documentation protocols. Operate and maintain medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions. Collaborate seamlessly with healthcare professionals such as nurses, physicians, and caregivers to coordinate care plans and discharge strategies. Maintain detailed electronic health records (EHR) management to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and facilitate seamless communication. Communicate clearly with patients and their families to explain treatment procedures, progress, and discharge planning processes. Requirements Valid certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program. Prior experience in skilled nursing facilities or inpatient settings is highly preferred; experience in geriatrics, pediatrics, outpatient clinics, or acute care is advantageous. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, orthopedics, and physiotherapy techniques. Proficiency in clinical assessment documentation, medical documentation standards, and electronic health records (EHR) management systems. Ability to operate medical equipment related to physical therapy treatments effectively. Excellent communication skills for caregiver interaction and client engagement. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop comprehensive care plans. Inpatient experience or skilled nursing facility experience is preferred; familiarity with discharge planning processes is a plus.
