Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physical Therapist Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care through skilled physical therapy interventions. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to implement treatment plans, assist patients in their recovery journeys, and promote optimal mobility and function. Responsibilities Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Perform therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy, and assist with modalities to promote healing and mobility. Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during treatment sessions, ensuring proper documentation of procedures performed. Conduct thorough clinical assessments and accurately document patient progress in compliance with clinical documentation standards. Communicate clearly with patients and caregivers to explain treatment procedures, answer questions, and motivate continued participation. Collaborate seamlessly with healthcare professionals—including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists—to coordinate patient care plans and discharge strategies. Maintain meticulous records within electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring all medical documentation aligns with regulatory standards. Qualifications Valid licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant in accordance with state regulations. Proven experience working in outpatient clinics, inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, or home health environments. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practice. Skilled in manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and physiotherapy interventions that support patient recovery. Familiarity with medical equipment operation and management of electronic health records (EHR). Excellent communication skills for engaging with patients of all ages—including pediatrics and geriatrics—as well as caregivers and healthcare team members. Ability to perform clinical assessments accurately and adhere strictly to documentation standards for medical documentation and discharge planning.
