Position Summary Orthopaedic Medical Group of Tampa Bay (OMGTB) is seeking a motivated and patient-focused Physician Assistant to join our growing orthopedic practice in Winter Haven, Florida. This is a full-time, clinic-focused position offering an excellent opportunity to build a rewarding career in orthopedic medicine while maintaining a predictable Monday-Friday schedule. This position is dedicated to outpatient clinical care and does not include routine hospital rounding, on-call responsibilities, weekend coverage, or operating room duties. While prior orthopedic experience is preferred, motivated new graduates with a strong interest in orthopedics are encouraged to apply. The Physician Assistant will primarily support our outpatient clinic in Winter Haven, located at 400 Ave K SE, Winter Haven, FL 33880. Clinic Duties and Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including obtaining detailed medical histories and performing focused musculoskeletal examinations. Evaluate and manage patients presenting with orthopedic conditions, including degenerative disorders, fractures, radiculopathy, and postoperative concerns. Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians. Order, review, and interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory studies as appropriate. Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medications, postoperative expectations, and recovery plans. Perform outpatient clinical procedures within scope of practice, including injections, wound care, splinting/bracing, and suture/staple removal. Assist in coordinating conservative treatment plans including physical therapy, pain management referrals, and follow-up care. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically indicated. Support continuity of care through timely communication with physicians, staff, hospitals, imaging centers, and outside providers. Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation within office and hospital EMR systems. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, infection control standards, and all legal and regulatory requirements. Maintain active licensure, certifications, and continuing medical education requirements. Thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining professionalism and compassionate patient care. Collaborate effectively with physicians, clinical staff, surgery schedulers, imaging departments, and administrative teams. Demonstrate strong communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail. Requirements A Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program. Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), and Florida state licensure. Minimum of 1 year experience in Orthopaedic specialty is preferred. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
