We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and capable Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team. We strongly prefer candidates with orthopedic experience, particularly pediatric orthopedics, sports medicine, fracture/injury care, or orthopedic urgent care. Candidates with substantial pediatric experience and a strong interest in orthopedics will also be considered. This is an opportunity to join a small, supportive practice where excellent care, clear communication, and a welcoming experience for every family matter. Responsibilities Evaluate and manage pediatric orthopedic and sports medicine patients in collaboration with the physician See appropriate new and follow-up visits, including fractures, sprains, strains, overuse injuries, gait concerns, concussion follow-ups, and sports clearance visits Review imaging and develop treatment plans within practice protocols Educate children, teens, and families with clarity, reassurance, and respect Contribute to an efficient, positive, team-first clinic environment Qualifications Current Michigan PA or NP license, or eligibility for licensure Prior orthopedic experience strongly preferred; strong pediatric experience required for candidates without orthopedic experience Comfortable caring for children, adolescents, and active young athletes Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, organization, and follow-through Dependable, flexible, humble, and willing to pitch in as part of a growing team Schedule & compensation Our goal is for the selected clinician to begin in January 2027 , allowing time for credentialing and onboarding beforehand. The position will begin part-time. An experienced clinician who can independently manage a broader schedule with physician collaboration may start at up to three days per week . Candidates transitioning into orthopedics may begin with fewer clinical days and expand as training and comfort grow. Competitive hourly compensation based on experience, with opportunity for additional hours as the practice grows.
