Custom Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for an Assistant Nurse Manager position within a busy Emergency Department in Queens, NY. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Emergency Department RN with strong clinical judgment, leadership skills, and the ability to support staff and patient flow in a fast-paced acute care environment. Schedule 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM 36 hours per week 12-hour shifts Schedule based on department needs Pay $86.67 per hour Responsibilities Assist the Nurse Manager with the daily operations of the Emergency Department Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing staff throughout the shift Help coordinate staffing, assignments, patient flow, and department coverage Serve as a clinical resource for RNs and other members of the care team Support staff with high-acuity and emergency situations Assist with onboarding, mentoring, coaching, and development of nursing staff Promote compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and regulatory requirements Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, and the interdisciplinary team Assist with quality improvement and performance initiatives Support timely patient throughput and escalation of clinical concerns Step into direct patient care as needed based on department acuity and staffing Requirements Active New York State RN license BSN required Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience Previous charge nurse, supervisor, assistant manager, or other nursing leadership experience strongly preferred Current BLS through the American Heart Association Current ACLS required Current PALS required Strong understanding of emergency nursing, triage, patient flow, and high-acuity care Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment Interested?
