Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physician Assistant, in a Psychiatric Hospital with no acute medical issues or any IV or other procedures. H& P to be completed within 24 hours per CMS requirements. Also will follow up with patient care. The model is acute Psychiatric care and outpatient type of Medical Care though they are inpatient. All the patients are admitted to the hospital after medical clearance from the ER. A good number of patients are adolescent child and has no medical issues . Only needs initial H& P. You will be a part of the team. As a key member of the clinical team, you will collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive assessments, diagnostics, and treatments. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and vital sign monitoring, to gather essential health information Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, hospice & palliative medicine, and post-acute care strategies. Document clinical findings accurately in electronic health records (EHR systems) while adhering to HIPAA regulations. 2 weekends mandatory within this contract but additional weekends/holidays will be paid extras. Skills Extensive experience with EMR systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, or Cerner for efficient documentation and data management Familiarity with CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and medical coding practices for billing accuracy. Experience with telehealth platforms for remote patient consultations; knowledge of HIPAA standards ensures confidentiality and compliance. Strong patient care skills across diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics (including neonatal ventilator management), oncology patients, and senior care environments. Pay:
$105,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
