The La Crosse Cardiology practice is a progressive and growing practice including general cardiology, interventional cardiology and electrophysiology. T he role of the general cardiology nurse practitioner/physician assistant includes providing comprehensive direct and indirect patient care including outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital service including clinic return/established patients, inpatient consultations and rounding. The position requires the ability to communicate with physicians regarding changes in patient's clinical condition; results of diagnostic studies; and patient symptomatology as appropriate. In response to changes in patient condition; accurately and effectively modifies therapeutic interventions. Our team-based care model requires strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate and work together as part of a team. During the selection process you may participate in an OnDemand (pre-recorded) interview that you can complete at your convenience. During the OnDemand interview, a question will appear on your screen, and you will have time to consider each question before responding. You will have the opportunity to re-record your answer to each question - Mayo Clinic will only see the final recording. The complete interview will be reviewed by a Mayo Clinic staff member and you will be notified of next steps.

Nurse Practitioner:

Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current WI RN and APRN license and certification as a FNP, ANP, or AGNP.

Physician Assistant:

Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a Physician Assistant by the WI Medical Examining Board.

Additional Qualifications:

Active BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross at start date and DEA registration required Ability to provide both inpatient and outpatient cardiology care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
