2996663432-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Hartford Healthcare seeks a Vascular Surgeon to join our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will provide comprehensive surgical and endovascular care for patients with vascular diseases, including peripheral arterial disease, aneurysms, carotid and venous disorders. Responsibilities include performing open and minimally invasive procedures, interpreting vascular imaging, managing inpatient and outpatient care, and participating in call coverage. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, contribute to quality improvement, mentor staff, and engage in ongoing professional development, supported by cutting-edge technology within a patient-centered, compassionate culture focused on teamwork and clinical excellence. Responsibilities Evaluate and manage patients with peripheral arterial, venous, and aortic disease in inpatient and outpatient settings Perform open and endovascular vascular surgery procedures, including bypass, aneurysm repair, and carotid interventions Interpret and utilize vascular imaging modalities such as duplex ultrasound, CT angiography, and MR angiography Provide perioperative care including preoperative evaluation, postoperative management, and follow-up Participate in call coverage for vascular emergencies and urgent consultations Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including cardiology, radiology, anesthesia, and primary care Document care thoroughly in the electronic medical record and ensure regulatory and quality compliance Engage in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and clinical pathways development Supervise, teach, and mentor residents, fellows, and advanced practice providers as appropriate Participate in continuing medical education and professional development to maintain current best practices Required Skills Open vascular surgical techniques Endovascular interventions (angioplasty, stenting) Vascular imaging interpretation (duplex, CTA, MRA) Perioperative patient management Management of peripheral arterial disease Aortic aneurysm repair techniques Carotid artery surgery and stenting Venous disease management and procedures Ultrasound-guided vascular access Electronic medical record documentation
