The facility maintains a multidisciplinary team environment supported by PMHNPs, registered nurses, therapists, and an additional psychiatrist, with a current census of 26 patients and an average length of stay of 120 days. Locum tenens coverage is sought beginning October 19 on an ongoing basis to maintain continuity of child and adolescent psychiatric services. About the Facility Location Kennesaw offers a range of attractions suited to varied interests. Outdoor enthusiasts may explore Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park, which provides hiking and historical landmarks, as well as opportunities for kayaking and golf in the surrounding area. About the Clinician's Workday The clinician will provide inpatient child and adolescent psychiatric care on a part-time basis (24 hours per week) during day shift hours, working on-site alongside a multidisciplinary treatment team. Clinical responsibilities include participating in treatment team meetings, conducting psychiatric evaluations for newly admitted patients, providing ongoing medication management, and completing required clinical documentation. The clinician will collaborate with PMHNPs, registered nurses, therapists, and an additional psychiatrist to support coordinated care for a pediatric patient population. Board certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, prescriptive authority, and an active state medical license are required for this assignment.
