Our patients aren't just appointment times on a schedule—they're individuals who deserve to be known, welcomed, educated, and supported throughout their health journey. We are looking for an OMT Physician Support Specialist to work 1 on 1 with our Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment physician and his patients to provide a smooth patient experience while also supporting his day to day work. This role will greet patients, activate patient information, and move patients through a pre-determined schedule of appointments at the office. This role is responsible for following a patient through to the end of their visit, offering information about their appointment, check in, check out, and possible sales. What You'll Do Welcomes patients and visitors to The James Clinic by greeting patients and visitors in person and on the telephone and answering inquiries or referring questions to other staff members. Walks patients to the appropriate patient room. Makes personal connection with patients arriving in Clinic and offers them guidance and understanding of their appointment for that day. Follows protocol for the provider to get appropriate vitals for each patient. Assist and Scribe for providers as needed. Documents in patient charts Sterilizing medical instruments and maintaining clean exam rooms Works to clean patient rooms for the next appointment. Schedules appointments for the Clinic to optimize patient satisfaction, provider time and most effective use the equipment and services offered. Ensure the daily schedule is up to date for the day. Accesses patient data to verify electronic completion, obtains any required new patient record forms if not yet completed. Endeavors to keep patients on schedule with quick turnover and inform them of any service delays. Assists as needed with inventory management of all necessary office supplies for the OMT DO. Works effectively as a team member in the delivery of support and assistance to coworkers, leaders, and patients. Assist patients with sales, scheduling, product, or billing questions. Provides back up to front desk staff for time off. Participates in The James Clinic emergency routine when required. Summons ambulance or EMS or assists other staff members as needed. Clinic hours

Requirements:
Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent required. Previous clinic or wellness center experience preferred. Shows dependability by being punctual; maintains consistent attendance. Positive and kind personality and demeanor to deal with the public and assist all patients. Basic office skills such as typing and use of various computer and phone systems. Good organizational skills. Minimal travel to the Chariton, Iowa clinic is required to support the physician, up to three times per month.
