Steele Memorial Medical Center is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Family Practice Physician to join our dedicated primary care team. This full-time position provides outpatient family medicine on a 4-day/week schedule, complemented by a 1:5 hospitalist call rotation that supports seamless continuity of care across our rural health system. Steele Memorial Medical Center is a mission-driven rural health organization serving Salmon, Idaho, and the surrounding region. Salmon is a small mountain town of about 3,000 people that serves a broader rural geography of approximately 12,000. Salmon, Idaho Experience - YouTube Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide comprehensive outpatient family medicine care for patients of all ages, including preventive care, chronic disease management, acute care, and continuity of care Participate in a 1:5 hospitalist call rotation to ensure seamless inpatient and outpatient continuity within the rural health system Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in
EPIC EMR
Collaborate with clinic staff, specialists, and hospital teams to coordinate patient care Support quality improvement, compliance, and patient experience initiatives Pursue specialty interests as appropriate within the scope of family medicine practice Uphold professional standards and contribute to a positive, team-oriented clinic culture Perform other duties as assigned consistent with the role of a family practice physician in a rural health setting
Education, Licensure, and Experience Required:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the State of Idaho Current DEA registration (or ability to obtain) BLS certification (ACLS preferred or ability to obtain as required)
Preferred:
