CBSET CBSET
is a preclinical translational contract research organization (CRO) with a 20+-year legacy of supporting medical device and biopharma sponsors through rigorous, science-driven safety and efficacy testing, complex histopathology, specialized toxicology, and both lab-based and consulting services. Backed by Arlington Capital Partners, CBSET is scaling its commercial engine as part of a multi-year aggressive growth plan. This is supported by organic business growth, and a new state-of-the-art facility build that substantially increases the capacity of current capabilities and enables new service lines for the business. Position Summary CBSET is seeking a Resource and Scheduling Manager to lead Pathology capacity planning, study scheduling support, project tracking, deliverable timelines, and cross-functional coordination across three areas (Necropsy, Trimming, and Histopathology). In addition, deliverables to and from pathologists will be tracked and communicated across departments. This includes contract work that is placed directly to the pathology department from outside labs and sponsors. This position requires expert and timely communications both internally to CBSET departments and externally to sponsors. Key Responsibilities Technical Skills

  • Maintain Pathology schedule views, workload trackers, study milestones, room/table needs, staffing needs, and downstream handoff indicators
  • Review contracts, protocols, and method documentation to enable proper resource allocations to successfully perform work at the highest standards across dept functions
  • Coordinate project timelines, dependencies, and deliverables across Pathology functions and with other department resource managers to ensure overall project timelines are met
  • Assist in development and implementation of scheduling and database tools
  • Prepare dashboards, action logs, status reports, and data packages for dept. leadership
  • Communicate timelines to internal and external clients to enable on-time project execution
  • Escalate resource conflicts, schedule compression, missing inputs, and readiness risks
  • Maintain clear, current visibility of committed work, forecasted demand, and emerging capacity risks so teams can make timely adjustments Interpersonal Skills
  • Coordinate and communicate with study teams, supervisors, QA, IT, HR/Finance, and Operations stakeholders to maximize collaboration Technical Consultation & Capability Development
  • Support protocol review, LOPA-to-workflow translation, capacity planning, and late-change tracking Team Leadership
  • Translate approved study schedules and protocol milestones into practical Pathology work plans, including key handoffs, resource constraints, and decision points Qualifications Required
Education:
Bachelor's degree in animal or science
    Experience:
    > 2 years' laboratory experience required. Project coordination and laboratory experience required. Experience in GLPs preferred. A combination of professional experience or education in a related field may suffice
    • Project coordination, scheduling, operations, laboratory, CRO, or scientific project-management experience
    • Strong organizational, communication, spreadsheet, and tracking skills
    • Ability to manage multiple timelines and cross-functional dependencies Preferred
    • Pathology, preclinical research, GLP/CRO, LIMS, workflow mapping, capacity planning, or PMP/project-management training
    • Typing speed of 50 words per minute or higher
    • Computer science proficiency or experience with technical systems is a plus
    • Professional when working with internal and external customers, as well as with vendors
    • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, as well as organizational skills
    • Independently problem-solves and thinks creatively to schedule activities
    • Lead and work effectively as part of a team
    Certification/Licensure:
    Driver's license
    • Flexibility and willingness to perform other related duties as required
    Other:
    Proficient with computers and standard application software (e.g., Word, Excel), as well as off-the-shelf scheduling packages (e.g. Office Tracker, Microsoft Outlook) Core Competencies

    • Office and computer-based work with regular coordination across Pathology functions
    • Preclinical Pathology laboratories and related study-support areas
    • Animal facility and laboratories with moderate noise possible and exposure to hazardous/noxious devices (e.g., needles, scalpel blades, etc.) and chemicals (e.g., anesthetic gases, formalin, alcohols, xylenes, etc.)
